Therapy services in Santa Cruz and across California

OUR RATES & POLICIES

Rates for therapy in Santa Cruz

Our service rate for individual therapy is $150 per 50-60min session (both in-person in Santa Cruz and virtually across California).

Free Initial Consultation

We offer a complimentary 30 minute initial consultation via phone or virtually (available to all California residents) so that you have the opportunity to inquire about our services and determine if we may be a good fit for you.

Cancellation Policy

If you are not able to make it to your scheduled appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. If you have not provided at least 24 hour notice of cancellation, the session will be charged in full. In the event of an emergency or extenuating circumstances this policy may be waived and you will not be charged. This will waiver is considered on a case-by-case basis.

Payments for our therapy services in California

Payment is due at the time of service through online credit card payment. We require a credit card to be kept on file and for your convenience, an automatic payment is made following your online appointment per your approval. This service is provided through our electronic health record system SimplePractice, which is a HIPAA compliant platform that protects the security of client information and financial records in accordance with federal privacy regulations.

Insurance for California clients
Services may be covered fully or partially by your health insurance. We are an "Out of Network" provider for most insurance companies.  We can provide a statement for all provided services and depending on your insurance coverage, you may be eligible to be reimbursed at an out-of-network rate. Please contact your insurance company to find out what coverage you have and if it has any limitations.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.

For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 415-326-6354.
