AREAS OF FOCUS
At Lumenate, we believe healing begins with feeling truly heard. You don't have to navigate life's hardest moments alone. Whether you're facing anxiety, past trauma, relationship struggles, or major life changes our team offers compassionate, personalized therapy to help you heal and grow. Below, you'll find the areas we specialize in and how we can support you.
What We Help With
Depression
Depression can make even the simplest days feel heavy and out of reach. We help you understand what's underneath and find your way back to yourself.
OCD
OCD is more than intrusive thoughts — it can quietly take over your routines and relationships. We offer specialized, evidence-based support to help you reclaim your life.
Relationship Issues
Relationships bring some of our greatest joy and our deepest pain. We help individuals and couples untangle conflict, rebuild trust, and communicate more openly.
Self-Esteem
How we see ourselves shapes everything — our relationships, our choices, and our sense of possibility. We help you explore who you are and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Anxiety/Stress
When worry and stress take over, it can feel impossible to slow down. We'll work with you to build calm, clarity, and confidence in your daily life.
Attachment Issues
The ways we learned to connect — or protect ourselves — in early life can shape everything. We help you understand your patterns and build more secure, fulfilling relationships.
Life Transitions
Whether you're facing a career change, a move, a loss, or a new chapter, transitions can be disorienting. We help you navigate change with intention and resilience.
LGBTQIA Support
You deserve therapy that feels safe, respectful, and supportive. We provide compassionate LGBTQIA+ affirming care for teens and adults navigating identity, relationships, healing, and emotional well-being.
Trauma/PTSD
Trauma has a way of staying with us long after the event has passed. We provide a safe, supportive space to process your experiences and move toward healing.
Grief & Loss
Grief doesn't follow a timeline, and it doesn't always look the way people expect. We'll meet you wherever you are in your process with compassion and without judgment.
Motherhood
Motherhood is profound and beautiful — and also exhausting, identity-shifting, and at times isolating. We offer a space just for mothers to be honest about all of it.
Life Stressors
Sometimes life throws everything at you at once — work pressure, financial strain, health concerns, and more. We help you manage the weight of it all and find your footing again.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which specialty area applies to me?
You don't have to figure that out on your own. Many people come to us unsure of exactly what they're struggling with — they just know something feels off. During your initial consultation, we'll listen carefully and help guide you toward the support that makes the most sense for where you are.
Can therapy help with more than one area at once?
Absolutely. Life rarely fits into neat categories, and neither do the people we work with. It's very common for anxiety, relationship challenges, and life transitions, for example, to all be part of the same experience. We take a holistic approach and work with the whole picture.
Do you offer telehealth for all of these specialty areas?
Yes. All of our specialty areas are available via telehealth to clients throughout California, offering the same quality of care as in-person sessions — with the added flexibility of meeting from wherever you feel most comfortable.
How long does therapy typically take?
This varies from person to person and depends on your goals, the nature of what you're working through, and how therapy unfolds for you. Some people find meaningful progress in a few months, while others benefit from longer-term support. We'll regularly check in with you about your progress and adjust our approach accordingly.
Do I have to be in crisis to seek therapy?
Not at all. While we absolutely support people in difficult moments, therapy is also a powerful tool for personal growth, self-understanding, and building resilience — even when life feels relatively stable. You don't have to be at a breaking point to benefit from support.
How do I get started?
The first step is reaching out for a free consultation. It's a low-pressure conversation where you can ask questions, share a little about what's bringing you in, and get a feel for whether we're the right fit.
